One out of fourteen different species of mushrooms I found just in my grandpa's backyard. For my very first mushroom hunt I'd say I did pretty well, considering. I have my dad's eye for things I'm looking for, but apparently not for massive fallen trees. I managed to hit my head on one while crawling around and BAM. Don't ask I forgot it was there. >.> Anyway, my grandpa's backyard at the moment is brown and ugly this time of year but if you look hard enough and in the right places you can still find a few splashes of color. Finding this mushroom was a miracle. I actually fell onto my knees when I first saw it. I <3 moss. :3 I took a sample home (there were a few about) and I still can't identify its exact species ;.; but I'm getting close. More of my mushroom photos should be on the way soon. My camera is the shizz o.o |
